Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island was recently rated by Lonely Planet as  number 5 on the world’s top regions to visit in 2016 and by Conde Nast magazine as the 4th best island in the world to visit.

Waiheke Island is a renowned wine region that produces critically acclaimed artisan wines and provides distinctive wine and cuisine experiences.

Waiheke Island wines are made by artisan winegrowers who have successfully matched the unique maritime climate and ancient soil structures to the selection of classical grape varieties. Our winemakers produce red and white wines with intense varietal character, that reflect the freshness and purity of a pristine environment.

Waiheke Island wines have won numerous trophies and awards, both locally and internationally. Our traditional strengths lie in Bordeaux blends and Syrahs, but our Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris wines are garnering increasing critical acclaim.
